Introduction: I offer an online menu so we can co-create the ceremony. Mainly my energy is what stands out. As someone who is accustomed to speaking in front of a large group on a regular basis, I make it look easy and can go with the flow if anything happens so the whole experience is relaxed and smooth. Jane was so kind too accept our request to officiate our wedding in October 2014. I knew Jane from Unity and felt our wedding needed Jane's heartfelt approach and presence to make it complete. Jane is very helpful working with the theme we had "Ocean and the sand" she did a special reading tying marriage and the sea together. We wanted a sand ceremony and read our own vows along with some vows and ideas we picked from Jane's list of options. It was a windy day in our backyard and although our music didn't work our and flower pots started to blow over, she kept a smile on her face as did we, finding the humor in it all. I can't think of anyone else we would have wanted to minister our wedding. Thank you Jane for making Chuck and my wedding so special. Blessings, Lorna Rauscher

Jane is a Wonderful Compassionate Woman who married my Daughter and New Son in law last July 7th. She is open to the needs of the bride and groom and their vows were just what they wanted. I would Highly request her again for any other celebration..She is professional and Kind.

My husband and I asked Jane to be our officiant at our March 2013 wedding. There was no question before the wedding who we wanted to fill this role, and we were absolutely grateful and overjoyed with her part in our wedding. Jane took time to find out the little special details of our relationship and beautifully wove them in throughout the ceremony. She gave us a few general templates to choose from for structure and the delivery was so personalized it seemed like it was perfectly created especially for us. So many people came to us afterward to tell us how beautiful they experienced our wedding, the vows, and the words Jane shared to be. Thank you, Jane!

FAQs

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge $350 for a wedding. $150 up front, non-refundable saves your date and gets the ceremony creation started as I email the online menu to you at that point. The balance is due on or before your wedding date. I am occasionally willing to travel outside my local area but then travel expenses would be extra.
What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
People think that all you need is an inexpensive online ministry "degree" to be able to marry someone. While this is true in legal terms, the biggest asset the officiant brings to the day is energy, confidence and delivery. Your friend may be perfect in that role. Just because someone is an ordained minister doesn't make them poised. I would say either hear the person in action or go with your gut feeling but look for energy that makes you feel confident when you talk with them.
