FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
For editing, I'll ask you for some background/context on your writing project, as well as what kind of editing you're looking for from me. You can send me a sample of your work and I'll show you how I would edit it. When you book with me, **************************************, ask you for clarification on any particular areas if I need it, and then begin editing. You'll have it back within the agreed-upon timeline, sparkling and ready for you to publish. For writing coaching, we’ll start with a (free!) thirty-minute consultation where you’ll tell me about your relationship to writing and about your writing goals. If we are a good fit for each other, I’ll guide you through payment and scheduling. Coaching packages are between 3-6 months long. Visit my website to book your free consultation.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been supporting writers for five years solid. I have a natural ability to help writers express themselves clearly and articulately, and make sure that what they write is easy for their audience to absorb. I've always been a bookworm and a writer. Every time I edit a piece of writing or coach someone through their own writing process, they are happy with my work and they often come back to me with other writing projects. I also lead writing workshops online and in-person.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I work with writers of fiction and non-fiction, in all kinds of formats -- memoirs, fantasy novels, kids' books, poems, essays, song lyrics, technical writing, grad school applications, and more. I am versatile in my ability to support writers that are working on any kind of project. I offer seasoned advice that helps them find clarity in what they're writing.
