Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: I enjoy working with people. More than that I enjoy seeing other people catch fish. Seeing the look on people's faces when they catch there first Chinook salmon is such a prize to me. Or bringing in a steelhead, with its acrobatic fighting style. They are a great prize to bring in that always get my heart racing. I also love to share a local dinosaur, sturgeon. Whether the fun catch and release all year long, or the prize of catching one to take home. These ancient fish are fun for everyone both young and old. You might want to bring a friend if you want to catch a ten footer though. I also love to teach people new things. So by combining my love for fishing and teaching, what better job than being a fishing guide.

As Being A First Time Fisherwoman I Didn't Know What To Expect On My First Trip. Always Catchin' Was Very Knowledgeable I Even Learned A Few Things! Not Only Did I Catch A Salmon I Had A Absolute Blast From The Time We Got On The Water Till We Docked. I Am Proud To Say That I Am Now A Client For Life!

FAQs

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

I provide over 20 years experience and a passion for fishing with others on the rivers in Oregon. I provide the boat, a 19' Duckworth with a cover that provides shade in the summer and cover from the rain. I also have a heater for those cold mornings. I provide all the gear and bait, as well as a cooler to store drinks and food you may bring while you enjoy the beautiful majestic views of the river. I fish on the Willammette and Columbia Rivers, from the Dalles all the way to Portland. I tailor trips to suit your needs and can accomodate up to five people per trip. I also share my vast knowledge of the fishing area and what I do to get you that trophy fish. I also make it my mission to ensure a good time. I can share the history of the area, from the indian legends to modern industry and commerce. I have links on my website to help you find a place to stay, and where and how to get a fishing license. I am a fully licensed and insured fishing guide with the U.S. Coast Gaurd.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

Make sure your guide is licensed with the state. Ask your guide what licenses you will need for your trip and where you can get them. Ask your guide if they provide all the tackle and bait? What kind of weather should you dress for, rain, sun, cold? Does the boat have a cover? Is food provided or should you bring your own? Does the guide clean and package the fish you catch or do you need to bring a container to take your trophy home in? If your bringing children, do they have life jackets to fit them and if they have an age limit they permit on the boat? Find out if they have a group rate, and how many people they can accommodate at once?
