Introduction: I have been in the fabrication business for over 35 years and have had the pleasure of working with beautiful material in beautiful locations. From Hawaii, to New Zealand and Germany, to serving the greater Portland Metropolitan area for close to 25 years, I feel I have the expertise to craft any stone material, whether it be marble, quartz, granite or soapstone into a timeless work of art. Number one would be the customers. I meet and talk with great people everyday. It is their excitement and satisfaction with the end result that I love. It makes all the hard work well worth it.

Paramount did a great job on our quartz counters. Jay was very flexible with our schedule delays and got the counter fabricated and installed ontime. It looks fantastic. Also, Jay and Teresa are very easy to work with. Would definitely use Paramount again!

FAQs

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I am constantly reading up on new products, procedures and technology. I require this of my staff also.

  • Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

I am proud of every job, big or small. Every job has it's challenges as every one is unique. Working towards perfection and never losing that passion is a sense of pride for me and it reflects in my work every day.

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

First and foremost I would urge people to never hire a stone fabricator who is not licensed, bonded and insured. The liability to the homeowner is huge and it is just not worth it. Make sure you hire someone with years of experience. It is not just about cutting stone and slapping it on top of your counters. There is a definite high skill level required to get the expected results. This is your home or business. Would you trust just anyone to do this job? No. It pays to hire highly skilled craftsmen who fabricate your project not in your driveway, but in a safe, well lit, state of the art fabrication facility. This will ensure quality and protect your investment.
