Sorry this pro can’t do your job, but we know other pros who can.
Introduction: My work is clean, professional, and efficient. I have a high level of attention to detail and a focused process. In addition to the design side of my work, I am also very attentive to the needs of my clients. For many creative types, the project/client management and communication sides of business can be a challenge, however these are all parts of the process that I enjoy and excel in. Two things: working with new and different types of projects, clients and styles on a regular basis, and the opportunity it gives me to make a positive difference in my community. Part of why I became a designer was because I saw the need small businesses and nonprofits have for stronger design. When that need is met, design becomes a powerful tool for change, community improvement, and connecting people. I love seeing that happen and being a part of it!

I had a project that required a lot of detail work and brainstorming and conversation. The project ended up taking about a month and a half, but it was well worth the work and wait! I am completely satisfied with the end results, and working with Mattea was a pleasure! She is intentional with her work and strives to understand what the customer is really looking for.

I've been working with Mattea for over a year regarding my real estate newsletter design and template. Together, we've come up with an attractive newsletter that is not just colorful but also very professional. She listens well and is very responsive to changes and suggestions. I couldn't imagine working with anyone else for projects like this. I highly recommend Mattea for your graphic design projects.

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I generally like to give my clients two options for pricing: an hourly rate ($35 per hour), or a value based rate (a set price for the whole project). For most large projects, my clients choose the set price since it takes into account the full scope of each individual project and is customized to their needs. When I provide a quote for this type of pricing, I build 2-3 package options and talk through which best fits the needs and budget of my client.

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

The most common large job I do is logo and identity design. This could be a redesign of an existing logo or creating a whole new one. Identity design is about so much more than a logo; it's how the brand is portrayed and can also include a brand guideline manual, color palettes, icons, patterns, stationary, and more! Some other common, smaller jobs I do include flyers, postcards, brochures, stationary, and posters. These are often created for events, products and services, real estate, and conveying important information.

  • Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?

As a part of the re-branding process for Salem First Presbyterian Church, I designed interior way finding signs. Around 90 signs were printed and installed throughout the church, providing some much needed direction and serving as the first glimpse the church body saw of the new identity in action.
