Introduction: I have been a teacher since 1980 when I have started to teach my son who was deaf. I first learned sign language then gave him school. I have later homeschooled my 5 other children, as well as those of other people. I was born and raised in France, and my forte in school was language art. I have extensively traveled and also speaks other languages which helps me understand that people can be different, as well as have different styles of learning. I am looking forward to you giving me a chance to teach you French! Discounts are available for families and groups. Along with French, I also teach HEBREW, both modern and Biblical. One of my long time French students wanted to write a reference but did not want to use the Thumbtack link. I am adding here my friend's reference with the first letter of her name. Patrick is a wonderful teacher and native French speaker (a plus)! He has broad interests and a terrific sense of humor, which makes learning a lot of fun. He weaves current and historical events, music and literature into the curriculum. Teaching materials include, for example, books published by CLE International, films, songs, TV5, and French in Action. We read Le Petit Prince (en français, of course). I met with Patrick for hour-long sessions over several years and during this time my ability to read and speak French greatly improved. Most important to me was speaking - Patrick encouraged me to speak in French and now I can. I plan to restart our lessons post pandemic. K.
