FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I am lower then the average rate in the area and work with the customer to see what we’re both comfortable with. I ask that the customer look into pricing for independent contractors and a living wage price. The vacation homes usually have the guest pay them the cleaning fee and then pay me so having a rate that is appealing to the guest is good. I ask to be notified with upcoming assignments so u can plan outside of my assignment.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Honestly I always strive to do my best and work with there needs. I work with their schedule to always put them at the front of my list. I know most of the time we are trying to accomplish the cleaning before a event so that is very important to me to meet your timeline. I always give them references as needed and make them feel secure. I prefer doing a deep cleaning for the first couple appointments for heavily occupied homes. It is not mandatory but it helps with keeping it the best it can be.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been in the business for 16 years. I started for a landlord where I lived and then started working for the same company she did by cleaning vacation rentals I alsp worked previously for resorts and hotels learning hospitality and customer service. I grew up working for my dad's business where I learned bookeeping, software and computer programming. I have always been active and this job allows me to stay that way by moving quickly, working hard, and staying fit. I also worked for a real estate company and eventually started independently about 6 years ago. I have some great ongoing clients and past clients that I still talk with. Most of my work is by referal and word of mouth. I love that I am referred to friends and family of previous customers. I have done many different types of work but this is where I am able to stay fit, make a living wage and meet great people who I make happy and satisfied. That is all I need to be happy and complete at the end of the day.
