I chose Doug because he indicated in his initial response that he has a background working with musicians in various ways for decades. I hired him to design a "logo" for my recording project. Doug draws from a diverse background and it has been a pleasure working with him so far. I was a bit nervous, as I had never before hired the services of a graphic designer. Doug showed genuine interest in my project and made me feel at ease by offering multiple ideas very quicklyit was an exciting feeling, especially given that getting music off the ground can be so wrought with doubt and disappointment in many other ways. It helped me feel like my project is still, indeed, moving along. I would highly recommend Doug, and will be a repeat client whenever the need arises.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
What's your budget? We'll make it work! Hell, so long as you throw in a few bucks for ink and paper, no worries. FYI, my printers take a combined total of 18 inks and I burn through about $1,000 worth in a year. Paper??? I'm sure you can imagine...
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Listen. Educate. Listen. Collaborate. Listen. Exceed Expectations. Grab a beer. (not necessarily in that order)
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
It's hard for me to adapt to a classical learning environment - it took me 16 years to get my BA from Ariz. State. Hence, I much prefer to find my own path, just like the masters. Besides, I've been designing for over 30 years, so, hopefully, I'm getting at least part of it right.
