FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I like to keep my pricing simple - $300/hr with a 1 hr minimum. That price includes all of the best edited, high res pics in an online gallery that you can freely download from. I ask for a 10% deposit to hold your spot and a $25 travel fee if I'm going more than 10 miles. Why $300? For a typical 1 hour session, I factor in my travel time, equipment and software costs, and at least 4-6 hours of editing time. I come home from some photo sessions with almost 1,000 pictures to go through! I take my time paring it down and editing to get you the absolute best pictures I can.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to start with a quick phone call to talk about what you're looking for in photos. Is it for a special occasion or purpose? I always ask for examples of photos you do like or you don't like. This helps me frame the session and make sure I'm getting you exactly what you want.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I've loved taking photographs as long as I can remember. About 6 years ago, I took the plunge and bought a professional system so that I could up my game. Since then I've kept myself busy doing sessions for friends and family. I quit my job last year to have my son and started accepting clients from outside my inner circle. I absolutely LOVE photography and connecting with people, and I think you can see that in my work.
