Introduction: I am an internationally known, awarded, publishing and exhibiting artist specializing in not just facial caricaturing, but as well in figurative and narrative images. None of my work is "cookie-cutter." Channeling my 30+ years of artistry I can spirit a one-of-a-kind true caricature of each subject before me. Having been a public servant as a beloved classroom teacher for 33 years, I have the gift of gab which many have referred to as Schmertzler's "tongue-fu" that will entertain and crack big smiles on those that gift me the opportunity to draw them. And, like a magician with an extremely high E-Q, I seamlessly blend into and out of any live event venue.
