Shawna - there are no words to describe your work. I haven’t even seen my pictures yet, but when I met Shawna, it was like I knew her for years! She takes such delicate time to get to know you and your partner, what had you fall in love, special moments you want captured, and more. Not only does she use her digital camera, she does film too! And not only that, we have Polaroids we got to take home immediately. The combination of immediate gratification, surprise, and anticipation is a wonderful touch to her work. Not to mention, our photographer quit a week prior from the company we were using and Shawna made it happen in a week!!! I truly believe everything happens for a reason, because there wouldn’t have been a better match for us. ❤️

I had the most incredible experience with Rooted Photography! From the moment I connected with Shawna, the talented photographer behind the lens, I knew I was in good hands. The boudoir photo shoot she captured for me was not only fun but also very tastefully done. I was able to incorporate all my preferences and ideas, even some special items, to make the photos truly unique and specific to my style.
The surprise album with the photos I gave to my husband for our anniversary was beyond amazing, and he absolutely loved it (and I often catch him now looking at his “special picture book” which he calls it!) Shawna’s attention to detail and creative eye truly shone through in every shot. The final photos were nothing short of stunning, and I couldn’t be happier with the results.

Absolutely the best photographer I have EVER worked with. I’ve been disappointed many times with my photos , and she was super flexible with allowing me to show her different shots I wanted her to take and allowing me to fix my sisters dress lol!! I am so happy she allowed me to pick out my favorites as this photoshoot was for an important event. Not to mention the quality of the photos unedited are ASTOUNDING. I will be recommending her to all my family and friends. Book with her if you’re looking for bday shots, quinceañera shots, or even self portraits , I’m truly so happy with the photos , my sister looks beautiful in them. I can’t wait for the final results to use for the event😊🫶!!!

My pricing varies depending on what you are looking for and start at $250
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When starting with a new customer. I like to go over date/locations and the details of the session. I then require a 50% deposit to reserve the date and time.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a proud self taught photographer for almost 10 years. Photography has always been a passion and is now my full time career path. I've had mentors and helpers all along my journey.
