I was able to get a service appointment for the next day and they were able to quickly diagnose the issue and make repairs at the same time along with clear description of the issue and remedy. They didn’t try to upsell us at just quality work and honesty!

Ed showed up past the end of his work day to first diagnose and a day later fix our broken furnace. The final cost of the fix stayed well below his worst-case estimate. He was responsive via text and professional in real life. I am grateful for a job well done.

Ed was hands on our situation! He informed me of the part we needed to get my furnace running, but we couldn't get the part until Tuesday after a Holiday in Monday! This was a Saturday and we would have no heat for 3 days! He offered up some of his own electrical heaters but I had enough to cover! Ed made an appointment for that upcoming Tuesday at 8:30 am and was there on time to replace my part. After a short period of time my furnace was back on! Very good person to work with. Very professional!

I've hired contractors from large and small HVAC/AC companies. By far, Ed's Heating & Air stands out. Ed stands out because of his transparency, honesty, and most importantly his integrity. Ed had the opportunity to charge me for an unnecessary job a large HVAC company recommended to be done. This is when Ed's integrity stood out. He was transparent and honest that doing the job would be excessive and was not necessary. He took photos of the furnace and explained why he was saying this .
It is not common for a contractor to put their morals first. By no means am I insinuating that contractors lack integrity, but as a customer who hires contractors often, it is commendable to find one that genuinely has the customer's best interest in mind.
I asked Ed if I could provide a review as I hope others hire him for HVAC Tech work and his standards should be the norm! He will be our go-to from this point forward...Have an amazing day!!

Ed was quick to respond and was able to come out within a few days of me initially reaching out! He got our new smart thermostat up and running in less than an hour - would definitely recommend!

FAQs
What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Ed’s Heating & Air charges a $79 service fee for diagnostic visits. If the customer approves the recommended repair or project, the service fee is fully waived. We believe in transparent pricing—no hidden fees—and we clearly explain options before any work begins. Seasonal promotions and energy-efficiency rebates may also be available depending on the project.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We start with a phone call or message to understand the issue or project goals. Next, we schedule an on-site visit to inspect the system, diagnose the problem, or evaluate the home. After that, we explain the findings in plain language and provide clear options with upfront pricing. Once approved, we schedule the work and complete it efficiently, cleanly, and to code. We always review the work with the customer before leaving.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Our experience comes from years of hands-on HVAC work, ongoing manufacturer training, and real-world troubleshooting. We stay current with modern high-efficiency systems, zoning, airflow design, and local code requirements. Ed’s Heating & Air is fully licensed and insured in Oregon (CCB #255602).
