Coleen designed the logo for my candles which I sell at local bazaars. I said I wanted a bee and she created the most amazing bee full detail and attention getting vibrant colors. The bee was JUST what I wanted, and MORE I could not visualize what Coleen created but she so created just what I wanted! I am so in love with the logo she will some day be a tatoo.

Coleen rocks. She is an excellent artist/illustrator and an even more excellent person.

About this pro

Often you get a graphic designer who is heavy on the knowledge and use of specialized software, but lacks the imagination and the eye of a professionally trained artist. I feel I can marry the two aspects very well. I love the variety of projects that come across my table! As with most of us artists, I do what I do because I love it! I enjoy seeing the smile on a client's face that comes with the presentation of their project. It's a wonderful thing to be able to make someone's thoughts and visions come to life.

    Q & A

    • How did you get started doing this type of work?
I can't imagine doing anything else. This is what I am here to do. It brings me joy, and I love a challenge.
    • What types of customers have you worked with?
I've done a multitude of projects for clients over the years. I specialize in children's book illustration, but enjoy taking on all kinds of specialized commissions. I've done logos, invitations, anatomical animal drawings, pet portraits, baby name paintings and even watch-part steam-punk pendants.
    • Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
The last project I did through a Thumbtack lead was quite interesting and challenging for me. I'm very familiar with painting animals, but this project was anatomical horse illustrations. They needed to be extremely precise, on a medical level. I'm more used to creative projects involving lots of whimsey. I think they came out quite beautiful, and my client was extremely happy as well.
