Introduction: Hi my name is Adam Easley, I teach guitar, violin, and mandolin. Whatever your musical preference I will help you play the type of music you love. My teaching style will make lessons and practicing fun. I will give you all the tools necessary to become a complete musician. Lessons with me are much more than learning to memorize a sequence of notes, instead I focus on musicality and creativity. I have played music my whole life, and taught for over 25 years. I enjoy all styles of music. I have performed all over and studied music at UOP conservatory and SF State Jazz Studies department. These days you can catch me performing with Portland's preeminent Celtic fiddler Katie Jane Lubiens in the Katie Jane Band! guitarlessonspdx.com katiejaneband.com mounttabormusicschool.com

Adam is a talented musician and a skilled music teacher. Both of my kids take music lessons with Adam. My daughter plays guitar and my son plays the violin. Adam is flexible, patient, and adaptable. His overall approach is inspiring and has helped my kids meet their goals.

Adam know how to listen. He heard what I was looking to learn. He then structured the lesson plan based my needs and skill level. He is quick to understand the best way to deliver the message and can see things from all sorts of different perspectives. Two thumbs up:) Go for it and have fun!!! Michael

Adam has taught me electric guitar for 2 years, and then during Highschool Violin. He has always been a enjoyable teacher to work with and be around. He's really down to earth, and I looked forward to every time I showed up to lessons. When I started on violins, Adam used to work at a Violin shop and he tried his hardest to get me a extremely good deal. It goes to show that he really cares about his students. He has given me a love and appreciation of Music, and he is a teacher thatll stay with you for life. (We are friends on Facebook 😂)

Adam is fantastic with both my 8 year old (Violin) and 12 year old (Guitar). He is masterful in his instrument knowledge, however most important is how he breaks the steps down in a way my kids learn quickly. His kindness & patience comes through - even over Skype lessons! Every lesson my kids learn something new building on the last lesson & practice. Adam enables my kids to accomplish something great. They look forward to the next lesson! A true confidence builder! Thank you!!!

FAQs

  • What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?

There are a lot of ways to learn music from formal studies to folk music taught by ear. If you have a style in mind, let the teacher know so they can structure the lessons to fit your goals. Try to find a teacher who has expertise in the style you want to learn. My specialties are Rock and blues, folk and Irish music, and jazz. I also teach classical violin with some fiddlin' around!
