About
All around skilled handy person/carpenter. I have built high-end custom cabinetry and museum pieces, ultra-streamlined solutions to meet a budget, and everything in between. I have an architecture degree and 25+ years of experience building, making, troubleshooting and repairing - still love it. Excellent listener and client partner to ensure you love the end product; speedy and meticulous about getting it done. I leave my work area at least as tidy as I found it and take care of any and all any mess created by the project. For custom work, if you have a clear idea (or a fuzzy idea) of what you want to have built, I can help you understand the options, pick materials and a design, and get it done on time and on budget. PLEASE READ: I have a 2-hour minimum for service calls/coming out in person. No charge or time limit for working with clients remotely to review jobs, estimate time requirements, and identify materials and equipment - I want to be sure that I can execute your project once I come on site. For exterior work, nothing 2nd story or higher. I look forward to working with you!

I had an attic entry on my second floor big enough for a gnome. Wanting to get the attic insulated, I had to have it widened, so Eric swooped in to help. He explained what he was going to do and then widened it as I wanted, giving me a thing of beauty. It still needs finishing with texture and paint, but I can do that. He cleaned up his workspace, barely living a fingerprint. I will definitely be hiring him again. In fact, I almost wish I had a lot more carpentry projects to keep him busy. He's that good. (And don't you guys go booking him up so that I can't get him again!)

Eric is an absolute pleasure to work with. He is very meticulate and takes the time to go over your vision on what you want done, as well as makes helpful suggestions. The task is then executed flawlessly and he leaves the work area flawless. I would definitely recommend him for anything carpentry related!

We had an unusual project with finishing a 200 yr old French arched stained glass piece of art which was mounted in an interior wall. He did a great job and price was less than what he quoted. Looking forward to using him again on other projects.

I love Eric! He’s a dream to work with. I had a rough idea of a loft bed I wanted. He made sure he fully understood my dreams and made it reality. Even better than I could have expected. I started with a tiny, oddly shaped bedroom that wouldn’t be able to fit both a bed and dresser. We came up with a plan for basically a stage that I could put my mattress on top of with a TON of storage underneath and a space to slide my dresser under. Someone else quoted me around $3-5k for the job and I think I ended up paying Eric around $1300 for the job. He definitely delivered. Eric is great at taking your basic idea and creating and explaining an easy to understand project and had great ideas to add in to make it even better. He’s extremely communicative, meticulous and tidy. He gets the job done quickly and meets needs you didn’t know you had. I would definitely hire him for any and all future jobs. He exceeds his value in my opinion.
