FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
A basic shoot normally last 20-30 minutes and your get 20-30 headshots for you to choose from. Most of them will be ready to use as is, but I'll have you pick 2 for me to touch up a bit more. Edits include general style/exposure edits like what you see in my portfolio/website. I also routinely touch up blemishes, stray hairs, and bags under eyes for no extra charge On payment, cash, venmo, check and paypal can all work
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to follow up and ask about the industry you work in or the style you are looking for to get a better idea of how I should shoot your photo. The main part of the process is finding a location that works. I have a few outdoor spots in either SF or East Bay that I like to shoot at (for great natural light), but can also make visits to your office or home. Before the shoot, I can consult you on general wardrobe tips and answer any questions you might have.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My first photography class was in college at UC Berkeley (where I studied economics). I moved to San Francisco after graduation and took extensive photography coursework at Rayko photo studio in SOMA. But, my main training has been practice (read my answer to how I got started to find out what I mean by that).
