Introduction: I like the technical and visual aspects of my work of course, but I also enjoy trying to solve a "problem" for people. Whether that means just getting a child or pet to pay attention so we can get a great expression; getting the lighting correct to accentuate a product in the best way possible; or thinking about any number of marketing variables when telling or illustrating a story. Speaking strictly portraits, I enjoy working one on one with people and animals. Most people, including myself are uncomfortable getting their photo taken so I attempt to make everyone at ease by talking with them, listening well and just having fun with the experience. It really doesn't have to be as painful as some people seem to think! I love shooting candid portraits of the relationships between animals and people, especially horses and I look for that moment of connection.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing system isn't complicated but it's a little different depending on the variables of the job, that's why it's difficult to give an estimate without knowing MANY more details than this site provides for.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I ask a lot of questions and I listen to what it is they want. ;-)
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've been practicing my craft and learning it for many years. I'm always striving to be better so I continually research different techniques or equipment and I'm always taking workshops or online classes on software, lighting, etc. One of the reasons I love it is because I feel I can never stop learning and I'm a curious person who loves to research. I have a degree in film/broadcasting and one in English literature.
