Introduction: I started Aphrodite Painting with the goal of getting together a crew of fine artists like myself to paint houses to the highest standard. We have the brush skills and perfectionist attitude that will deliver a flawless paint job - no drips or thin spots! We do it all: interior, exterior, whole homes, small projects, specialty items such as cabinets, bannisters, and furniture. Not sure about color? Ciena did a great job on my house. People compliment me about it often. I did have to remind her about not leaving the gates open in the yard ( I have a dog), but otherwise I have no complaints, only praise.

Aphrodite Painting completed two projects for me. The full interior (all surfaces) of 1910 Portland residence and the complete exterior of a 1950's duplex. Ciena completed prep, patching, priming, walls and trim on both projects. All work was completed with integrity and was of the highest quality! She has both knowledge and the artist's eye for detail. I highly recommend Aphrodite Painting!

We are traditionally Do-it-yourselfers, but we never seem to have enough time to get the whole house painted in one season. Hiring Ciena was the best gift I could give my husband - we finally have the whole house painted the same color! She did such a great job that we had her paint our old piano - a very intricate and precise job. I wanted to go bold, changing it from a boring light white-washed wood stain to a deep red solid paint! I didn’t want it leaning toward browns or purple or too bright of a red. She helped me find the perfect color that looked great in all the different lights of the day and night (a very tricky thing to do). She really knows her paints and primers, too. I would have picked the wrong kind of paint, but she directed me to the right kind for the job and explained why, so I felt good about the choice. I’ve looked at every single square inch of that piano with my glasses on and there isn’t a single drip/run in the paint or a single spec of paint on the keys yet she managed to fully cover every spec of surface that was the old color. I’m picky, and I couldn’t have done a better job myself. My friends notice the piano when they come over and can’t believe it’s the same piano I’ve had for 25 years (that was old when I got it). We were so pleased with the house exterior and piano that I asked her to help me with my French doors that I had already started painting myself (so I know how hard it is - especially when you’re changing the color). She got a good coat of primer on it more than twice as fast as it had been taking me, plus her hand is way more steady so there isn’t a spec of paint on the glass yet every bit of wood is fully covered. Ciena is an incredible artist - ask her to show you her paintings - you might have to beg. She can paint portraits that look so real you might think they’re a photo transferred to canvas, but I know they’re not as I’ve seen them in process. We’re planning to hire her to paint some simple and tasteful murals on our house to add some flare to the traditional two-tone exterior in our boring neighborhood...just as soon as my husband and I can agree upon the artwork we want to have done. I can’t wait! It’s going to look amazing!!!

I hired Ciena to pressure wash the exterior of our house to prepare it for paint. Ciena did a great job, she was communicative and precise. She was helpful in pointing out areas we would want to look at when we paint. Our house looks clean and we had a great experience. Hire her!

Ciena and her assistant painted our upstairs hallway, downstairs hallway, office and extra room doors, windows and millwork. She was quickly responsive about our project and asked great questions. Her pricing was competitive. Her team is extremely professional, very neat & respectful, and quite communicative. I highly recommend!

I am an artist (specialising in portrait painting) and was intrigued by a career in the trades as a way to engage my creativity in a financially stable industry. I then embarked on a mission to learn everything about painting homes that I could.
