Introduction: I have performed as a solo acoustic guitar player for over five years. That experience has taught me how to break out of the box and add exciting tricks and techniques to my playing. I am able to teach how to get a full band sound from a solo acoustic guitar. For Beginners: My experience as a stage performer has trained me how to convey information to any listener. I pride myself in my ability to relate material to a students personal interest to make the learning experience more exciting. For Advanced players: I have played nearly 500 solo shows where I filled the space for a band with a solo acoustic guitar. I am able to teach a player how to add percussion and tapping, finger-picking and bass lines and make any song guitar driven. Every student offers a new personality. I enjoy my interactions with each player. Their interests in music open me up to new artists and ideas. The relationship between teacher and student develops into a friendship between players. Every lesson offers something new and I enjoy the challenge of keeping every session as exciting as the first lesson.
