- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I take a 60/40 commission split and split the fees between both parties. If an item sells for under $60 it's a 50/50 split. I am open to negotiation on specific items.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I started selling my own clothes that I no longer wanted/fit into a couple years ago and realized I had a knack for it. My friends would ask me what I did with my clothes when I told them "I sold it" and were surprised that selling my clothes for a good amount of money was possible.
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Don't be afraid to just inquire and ask questions. My services aren't something that you can just ask anyone to do and it's a new idea. It's a service that requires trust and knowing what the process will be before it starts is the best way to feel comfortable.
