JD was great! He brought appropriate tools to counter the light on a very sunny day and the photos turned out great. He was adaptable to our two infants and was able to get so many great shot. He also was collaborative and willing to capture the whole family’s idea of a picture they wanted. You won’t be disappointed!

We loved working with Wildwood Wedding Films and Photography for our family photos! We traveled from out of state to Cannon Beach, OR and thought it would be the perfect opportunity to get some professional photos taken of our family. We are so happy that we were able to work with JD. He did a fantastic job capturing photos of us especially with our wiggly 3.5 year old. We absolutely love the photos and are blown away by the quality of them! We can’t recommend Wildwood Wedding Films and Photography enough. We started working with James for our Best Day wedding before all the covid shut down happened. We had to keep altering our mildly complicated Best Day plans multiple times. He was very responsive in email, and patient. Once on sight he was very gentle and professional with the party and the guests. He captured both the spirit and the details of the day far above our expectations. He returned the professional products and made us and our guest very happy. (For the record he also was mindful of all the covid precautions needed to keep everyone healthy). His contributions to the memories of that day was essential. Our pricing is simple and transparent.
Photography is $450/hour.
This includes professional lighting when needed, editing, retouching, and a finished gallery with typically 25+ edited and retouched images per hour of coverage.

What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We start by learning what matters most to you: the people, moments, details, and memories you want captured.
For weddings and larger events, we help you think through the schedule so your timeline supports the photos and video you want. We’ll guide you on how much time to allow for portraits, family photos, candid coverage, ceremony, speeches, dancing, and any special moments.
On the day of the event, our style is relaxed and documentary. We stay out of the way for the real moments, and we step in with clear, helpful direction when portraits are needed.
Our goal is simple: you enjoy the event, and we handle the rest.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My background as a teacher is one of the things that makes our portrait process different.
Most people do not naturally know what to do in front of a camera. Where do you put your hands? How should you stand? How do you look natural instead of stiff? I’m able to coach people in a calm, simple way so they feel comfortable, confident, and genuinely enjoy the experience.
We also bring years of hands-on experience with professional photography, videography, lighting, editing, retouching, and digital production.
