I stand by the idea that older students can successfully learn any instrument later in life and have a very fulfilling musical experience.
I teach my violin and viola students through a hybrid approach of folk and classical style and guitar students folk style. I strive to create an encouraging, comfortable and fun environment in order to nurture my student's creativity. Though I have students of all ages, I especially enjoy working with the late bloomers.
I also offer my students the opportunity to participate in recitals!

Megan inspires students of all levels. She works on individual parts that works best when playing in a group format. She is patience, kind and answers all questions with grace. Megan also has a beautiful voice and plays the violin beautifully!

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I offer a $5 per lesson discount with the purchase of four or more lessons at one time.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I prefer the get to know the potential student by exchanging a few emails back and forth before setting up a lesson, just so I am sure I know where they are on their musical journey.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I started playing violin in 1993 and have been teaching violin lessons and classes since 2012.
Playing and teaching guitar is newer to me but since I am an adult learner I can share my knowledge with other beginner adults in a clear and simple way.
I perform violin, guitar and sing professionally.
