FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Although our quote system can seem opaque, we actually operate on a simple hours-plus-expenses pricing model. When we get a request for work, we estimate how many hours we'll need to put into it and how much it will cost for us (for example, in domain registration or content licensing fees). We provide a quote to our customers by adding those costs to the hourly price times the number of hours estimated. Since there is a variance in actual hours spent, we generally offer a fixed quote to the client, so we assume the risk that the project will take longer than anticipated. However, if truly unexpected circumstances arise that would drastically increase either the hours or our costs, then we meet with the client to discuss options, including modifying the project and going over budget. This virtually never happens on normal informational, blog, or e-commerce-type sites.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
It's impossible to work in a technology-related field and not continually educate yourself about new advancements. Our designers are constantly learning to work with new platforms, software, customer business models, and design trends. This allows us to build contemporary, user-friendly sites that will fulfill our customers' high expectations.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
Web design is our most popular service. We help clients build personal or commercial web sites from the ground up, including domain registration, coordinating hosting, and planning the site's layout and content. We also help clients maintain or update existing sites. Our consulting services are also popular. Owner Dana Scheider draws on her background in business administration and finance to help clients plan their businesses, design web marketing and branding strategies, and management.
