Introduction: I can’t resist a great love story! I truly love what I do. I enjoy the process of creating the perfect ceremony for my couples. Being able to bring to life the ceremony they’ve dreamed of is where I thrive. As your Officiant, my job doesn't end with the ceremony. I'm there to nail down all the finite details... from staging and orchestrating the rehearsal, to coordinating timing with other vendors (dj's and photographers) to ensure that your big day plays out flawlessly! Having nearly 20 years in the business, I can also recommend great caterers, bakers, photographers, seamstresses, dj's and florists, who I've worked with and come to know as the best of the best... saving you the time of searching and hassle of interviewing. Each couple's union is special and each love story is unique! Learning the story behind each couple, and being witness to the start of their new life together, is very special. Many of whom keep in touch and come to be dear friends long after the wedding is said and done. I can’t wait to hear your love story!

River performed above and beyond our expectations. From the initial meet and greet, via Skype, walking us through the entire process leading up to the wedding; for providing us sample vows so we could write our own; for always being available and answering our questions promptly; for being incredibly patient with us; for leaving her home a day early to be at Mt. Rainier for us; for pulling all those big and little things together that would have been overlooked; for being so open minded, kind, comforting, and professional. We truly appreciated River officiating our wedding ceremony and we will always have a special place for her in our hearts.

We chose River over other officiants we met with because she was the most personable. She listened well to everything that we wanted, did everything that we asked of her and helped make our wedding the most memorable event of our lives. She took the time to get to know us, as we did her and created a connection that many couples don't get from the person performing their ceremony. This has given us a friend for life and we couldn't have done it without her.

Working with River was a blessing :) Even though my husband and I had ideas of how the ceremony would go and so many ideas from movies and tv shows...when it came time we drew a complete blank :( River walked us through the ceremony with such grace (totally unsuspecting to our guests that had no idea that WE had no idea what we were doing). River....thank you so much for your professionalism, tact, grace & and most of all.....the sincerity that radiates off you even from the moment we first met!!!! River was great! She met us at the park and helped us find witnesses for our elopement. She was willing to work with us in less than a week, and on a holiday! She's funny and joked around with us but was very professional and got our paperwork in quick. She even took photos for us! She was great. We couldn't be happier, or have found a better officiator!

River was perfectly "heaven sent" to perform our wedding ceremony. My husband and I were both touched by River and her loving Spirit. FAQs

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Elopements = $150 (10 guests or less) Standard Vows and filing of license. Weddings = $300 (more than 10 guests) - Custom options available ala carte such as rehearsal, choice of ceremony/vows, opening prayer, sand ceremony, etc. allowing us to craft a ceremony that fits not only your style but budget too!
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like get to know my couples... so we begin the process with a consultation. Meeting face to face or via skype. I'm a sucker for a good love story and like to learn how they met, what makes their love unique, elements that they want to include in their ceremony, how they envision their life together moving forward. Once the details have been gathered, we then begin crafting the ceremony. I meet with my couples once or twice more prior to the big day to gain approval of the ceremony and organize the rehearsal.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Ordained Minister of Marriage, Divinity studies, spiritual and marital counseling.
