I got called in to a job with “power loss.” When I walked in and heard the customer tell me that he had no power in the upstairs bathrooms, I immediately knew what the problem could be. I asked him to show me his downstairs bathroom. Although confused, he led me to his downstairs bathroom. I moved a vase and reset a GFCI plug. Then went and verified voltage to the upstairs bathrooms. They were working. I explained to the customer the way bathrooms are wired and that it is common for the upstairs bathrooms to be protected “downstream” from the first/closest bathroom to the electrical panel. He felt bad (since he mentioned that he worked construction most of his life) but I told him that I won’t charge him for the 5 minutes of work. Told him just to call me in the future for any other work.
