I was looking for an interior designer to set up a home office for two people. I found Meghann on Thumbtack as replied to me in a timely manner. She is very professional and I truly enjoyed working with her on this project. She listened to my needs, addressed all my concerns and provided me with several alternatives to choose from. I really appreciate the plans that Meghann offered. She not only did a full design for the home office, she also helped with finding the right furniture and giving me a detailed shopping list to meet the design. She is a very nice lady, I will contact her again for my future interior design needs and also would recommend her to my family/friends if they need an interior designer. Meghann delivered the project within the time frame & the budget that we had set and. Thanks Meghann. Nil

If I could give 6 stars I would. Meghann took the time to understand what we wanted functionally, how we live in our home, and our style preferences. She paid attention to costs and came in well within our budget with a look and feel we would have struggled to pull together ourselves (even if we knew where to begin with it all). If you have never worked with an interior designer before, you should. And Meghann is excellent.

We worked with Meghann & Jewel Tone Interiors to complete a major remodel of our home covering two stories including a new kitchen, master bathroom, bedrooms, three other bathrooms as well as exterior details. Meghan quickly recognized and became in tune with our design sensibilities (Scandinavian Modern) as well as our appreciation for natural wood details. He experience, especially with contemporary and boutique hotels allowed her to bring new and interesting ideas to us that we were not aware of or wouldn't come upon ourselves. She helped provide smart design solutions for challenging areas like our kitchen. She sourced and managed talented wood workers to create our custom vanities and wood fixtures. Meghann was a pleasure to work with and easy to communicate with. She had ideas but never pushed them on us and was always open to our ideas making the overall process a joyful one. We are incredibly happy with the results which have exceeded our expectations.

Meghann has been such a key part of the development of my new medical clinic. I wanted to get away from the sterility of my profession and she's helped create a very inviting space for relaxation and healing. She was able to work with me just in the ways I needed, allowing me to direct, but also taking over when I needed her to step in. It's been an easy and enjoyable process and will serve me and my patients for years to come. I feel very lucky to have found Meghann on Thumbtack and would highly recommend her for your design project.

Meghann has been fantastic and so easy to work with! We had never worked with a designer before and didn't really know what we wanted or needed--and totally lucked out! She's been very flexible around our timeline and schedules, insightful about our style, considerate of our budget, professional yet personable, and concise! I'd highly recommend her for projects of all sizes and budgets--you'll get the talent and design experience of big firms without needing the big budgets.

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I prefer to charge an hourly rate so I can tailor my services to the specific needs of the client and scope of work for the project. I find that my design fees end up averaging around 10% to 15% of the overall project budget. If a client wants a fixed fee or hourly rate with a not-to-exceed amount, I'm happy to provide one after I have more details about the project scope of work, level to service desired and designer involvement.

  • What is your typical process for working with a new customer?

My process for working with any client is to discuss your needs and vision for the project. This includes technical requirements like scope of work, budget and timeline as well as the aesthetic and functional goals like layout and space planning, desired look and style of the space and ultimately how the space should feel and operate upon completion.

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have two bachelor's degrees. My first degree is a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art and Art History from the College of Santa Fe and my second degree is a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from Arizona State University.
