I own a photo booth business, and I had an idea for a new concept. I connected with Scott (on thumbtack) and it has turned out to be a great crash course learning experience in engineering/fabrication! One of the reasons that I went with Scott was that he was excellent about following up. It took us a few weeks to actually commence on the project (due to me being busy with other aspects of the business), and all this time he would follow up with me and when it was time to get started, he was ready to go. The design process was very thorough and extensive. He asked me what I envisioned for this photo booth and created very detailed CAD models that I could look at every step of the way. All the while, teaching me about aspects of engineering which in itself was very helpful. Keep in mind that we were doing this all remotely because I live near San Francisco and he is in Portland. This project took a few months of designing and a few weeks of fabrication, and when it finally came to fruition I met him at the fabrication place where I saw the photo booth for the first time, which was very surreal to me because this idea that I had in my head was now a reality. I'm very happy with the result - our photo booth now looks very professional and is quite easy to setup (which were 2 of our main goals of the project). Scott is very down to earth and easy to talk to so you can tell him exactly what you're thinking. Will definitely work with him in the future if we have any other projects!Dec 16, 2019
Scott was great. He contacted me promptly. At one point I lost track of the project and Scott very politely asked if I still wanted his help. As it turns out I used the wrong terms in my search. Scott helped me find other professionals to complete my project. I am a recent college graduate in the design field and I'm just starting out. Scott volunteered quite a bit of his time to help me better understand the industry from the perspective of an experienced professional.Jan 10, 2020Verified
