Introduction: Right now, I am building patio furniture in my shop. Previously, I owned a remodeling company, a water line company, and a roofing company. I was a journeyman carpenter and foreman with the carpenters' union. I was a superintendent in the private sector and a project manager up until the depression, when most, if not all, construction ended. I had been a commercial fisherman in Alaska and a gold miner. I have an old-school work ethic, but my best qualities, I feel, are my demand for perfection -- which means 'good enough' is not in my vocabulary -- and my knack for solving problems -- for instance, in my shop if I can't find or buy something I need, I can make it.
