Introduction: Hello everyone, I used to be very active on Thumbtack, and taught some of the most amazing students through this platform. I took some time off from teaching, was a combination the COV-19 scare and other health issues. Very happy to say that now, I have never been healthier. I am ready to start teaching again, as I really miss it. I cannot promise you will become Bach, Beethoven, Ray Charles, Elton John, Billy Joel etc. (maybe you will). What I can promise is years of experience, technique, theory and innate musical ability will be at your disposal. Not to sound conceited, but I am very good at what I do. Then, develop a customized lesson plan & time lines to achieve said bench marks. My rates are very affordable & usually will have, even for my beginner level students, playing the music they love, in a relatively short time period. ♫ The biggest myth about learning & playing an instrument: " I do not have any special talent to be a good player" ♫ Reality: Nothing could be further from the truth. It is true some individuals have slightly better instincts. However, we are all basically the same, skill set wise, in the beginning. Learning & playing, on a large scale, has many technical components that can be mastered with practice, technique and guidance. ♫ I have seen some students, blossom into amazing players, that initially thought they did not have the talent. DO NOT LET THIS MYTH DETER YOU, IF YOU WANT IT BAD ENOUGH, YOU CAN DO IT. *** Teaching is something I genuinely love. Sharing this knowledge & passion to my students drives me. Just like anything in life, the more you do it, the better you get. My teaching experiences have showed me what works, and what does not work, for a particular student & situation.

I found Bill a little over a month ago on Thumbtack. I had been looking to take piano lessons for quite some time now, and I was worried I was too old to start at the age of 22 with no experience. I contacted Bill looking to take my first lesson, which was completely free since Bill wanted to give me the opportunity to view his teaching style. I had found that his teaching style was a perfect fit for what I needed. He breaks things down thouroughly and clearly, and he introduces new material based on how far I have progressed. Granted, Bill is not the next Mozart when it comes to classical music however he is incredibly passionate about the music he writes and produces. His written songs are influenced by great artists like Elton John, The Beatles and many other artists of that era. Bill is an advocate for artistic freedom and he believes that music should be played how the musician sees fit. I highly recommend Bill to anyone looking to start out with piano or furhter their previously developed skills, as his lessons are thorough, properly paced, and his prices are incredibly modest. Mr.Bill is great with my 7 year old! My son always looks forward to his piano lessons and is more motivated to play after each session. Mr. Bill is also always prompt and very reasonably priced.

Mr Bill is a wonderful piano teacher. He teaches our sons ages 5 and 8 and they both enjoy his music lessons and look forward to it every day. He really puts a lot of effort with our sons and he is very patient with them, we are so happy he is our piano teacher!

Bill is a great teacher. I have 4 years of experience in classical piano before going to Bill's lessons. Bill helped me tune my fingerings and offered great learning tips. I didn't expect to see myself improving in such period of time. Definitely recommend anyone who's interested.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
*** Perhaps a better word is value. Am probably priced lower than the going rate, more so because I know how hard it is economically for people now a days. I try to keep this in mind when quotes are issued.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Each student is different, so the processes & styles vary. It is my job to develop a lesson plan that will provide the best results for my students, based on their goals & objectives. *** We should never lose sight of what music's real purpose is; enjoyment & enhancing our lives, and those around us. When this is always at the forefront, my job is easy, because it is the student who's at the helm, I just go along for the ride:)
