My garage exits to an alley in dire need of a total redo. Joe replaced drivewalk and sidewalk down to my back porch, installing longer, flat steps where sidewalk previously sloped. Designed so rain runoff from alley avoids my driveway and walkway. Was a pleasure to get both quality work and a fair price. Cleanup was also excellent. Big thanks to Joe and his crew for a beautiful job!

FAQs

  • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

I price my jobs mostly by how long should this project take, how many days I also consider how many sqft there is. Most contractors use square footage to estimate a job. So let’s say you need a new sidewalk and it’s 100 sqft and they charge $20 per sqft = $2000 I do the same but I also take into consideration yea it’s 100 sqft but the job is nice and easy close to the road and I know I can get this job done in 2 days instead of the 2.5 days it normally takes because it is 100 sqft I usually pass that savings off to the customer

  • What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have 3 years of vo-tech and countless hours of certification classes throughout the almost 30 years I’ve carried a union card

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

I got started in this field in 1986 when I took a masonry class at mon-Valley vo-tech
