FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I do. I am always staying in-touch with the trends that develop in the face painting world. I also stay tuned to the trends that develop in children's entertainment.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have been singing, dancing and drawing my entire life. I auditioned for touring musical shows and theme park and resort shows at 19, and performed professionally for over a decade while typically also working backstage as the resident artist. Backstage I assisted with set design, signage, costume design, makeup design and wig styling. I earned a graphic design degree while also studying illustration at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. While in school, I was hired by a major theme park where I co-managed a face painting booth. Theater, music, art and face painting have married well to create a package of entertainment FX Studio provides.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
The most common job is general face painting at birthday parties, along with Princess visits.
