Introduction: I stand out from other choreographers because I work with youth, often from distressed areas of Pittsburgh. In addition to teaching them a variety of styles, I then expose them to the world of the performing arts and let them show their talents on stage! Not too many choreographers have the resources to place new dancers on stage, nor the work ethic to make it happen. Seeing my finished product when it's showtime-- nothing beats the feeling of a number well executed.

FAQs

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Local classes-- this summer I'll study at the Pittsburgh Ballet Theater, Arthur Murray Dance Studio and the Pittsburgh Conservatory.
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I joined the dance team at my high school and it absolutely stuck with me-- I haven't stopped performing since!
What questions should customers think through before talking to professionals about their project?
I don't think that formal training should have such a weight on the dance world. I've found some INCREDIBLE youth that have no idea of the millions of dance terms, but are phenomenal dancers. I love that I'm able to give ALL students a chance to be on stage-- I've had plus-sized dancers, elementary-aged dancers, even grandparents up on stage with me!
