Introduction: My previous work experience includes time in the social services. I have had extensive experience working with people in their homes and in their most vulnerable places. I understand how nerve-wracking it can be to have someone in your most personal space and am committed to non-judgmental and compassionate services to my clients. There are two things that I love: 1) My clients! Every single one has been so inspirational to me, and I truly love partnering with them to figure out how to make their lives easier! 2) I love following up after a job to see how the organizational systems I put in place have worked. It's incredible to see how much impact organizing can bring to a person's life.

Jessica did a phenomenal job... My wife and I worked 60 hour weeks for almost 10 years. We basically came home from work to sleep, shower, eat, and go back the next day. We loved our careers and threw ourselves wholeheartedly into our work.... But then a shift occurred in our lives. We left our jobs to become full time, work from home, foster parents. But we had accumulated 10 years worth of stuff. Tools for the new contracting business, camping and backpacking supplies, board games, outdoor games, memorabilia, keepsakes, "things we might need one day" and so much more. It was overwhelming to even look at. In four years, I didn't find anyone who valued my stuff as if it was their own, who could appreciate the emotional connection and the memories associated with various pieces of "junk" the way Jessica was able to. My wife and I were able to trust that she was in-tune enough to know what she could safely trash and recycle, and what she should sort. Once she had done the preliminary work, my wife and I would commit 20 to 60 minutes to work with her to decide what to do with the items she had sorted, eliminate duplicates, reduce keepsakes to the essentials, and what had to be scanned or photographed for mementos. Jess was not only a phenomenally skilled organizer who worked quickly and efficiently to bring order to 10 years of chaos, she was also understanding, and emotionally supportive of us in the process of cleaning our our "lives." I can't give you a stronger recommendation for someone that you can trust to come into your home or business and help you get things back on track to where you want to be, so that you can move forward strategically. The clutter and disorganization was literally, physically, emotionally, spiritually holding us back from stepping into the next chapter of our lives. And Jess helped us get free.   • What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?

    In general, my pricing works as follows: Consultation (1-2 hours): $30/hour Half day rate (3 hours): $90 Full day rate (6 hours): $175 Full day rate (8 hours): $200 Additional organizers for on-site projects: $30/hour for each organizer I do give discounts to non-profit agencies, employees of non-profit agencies, and for big jobs lasting one week (5 full days) or more.

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

    Professional organizing brings two of my favorite things together: 1) working with people and 2) organizing. I am really, truly excited to go to work!

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

    Look for someone who is willing to listen to you and your needs. It is imperative that you feel comfortable with the organizer you hire.
