Lon , after listening to a demo C. D. of my songs , agreed to produce a C. D. with me . He took tracks from my 16- track and worked his magic. He worked out of his studio at home and put in his insight of what he heard . In the space of a few months , he mastered 7 songs. What impressed me was the amount of time & effort he put into it , as well as adding his musical skills ( guitar work , keyboard , arrangements etc. ) . He went way out of the way adding to this project. His talents are amazing and many. His professionalism shows in his work and how he works with the artists . The end product was more than I expected . A true masterpiece .He did this with an unknown , liked what he heard and went out of his way to produce a wonderful product. I wish I had been more aware of what he could do. My limited musical experience with a professional producer limited what I thought could be done. But Lon took it and ran with it . The final product is far better than what he started with . I really don't know if he could do better . What he did was great. If you want someone who knows his trade , cares about the project he is working on. Will give you an honest evaluation and give sound advise . Lon van Eaton is your choice . If I would be lucky enough to land a record label , I don't know anyone other than Lon that I would want to work on my projects. Talent , professionalism , and a true love for what he does . I had a very good experience working with Lon. It was a low pressure environment, we both added ideas and came to decisions regarding my parts of the overall project in which we were involved. He helped me gain confidence in my abilities using my voice and kept things moving along and actually fun. I have to say he was extremely supportive and patient with me being much the novice of the process of recording my music. I look forward to competing my first cd with Lon. I'm sure it will be well beyond what I envision it to be with Lon producing it. I would recommend anyone who wants to record their music to speak with Lon and let him let you shine. I recorded a Christian musical CD with Lon. I was impressed how Lon was able to take a project like this one, with unprofessional singers and instrumentation, worked with the singers and the sounds and produced a beautiful professional sounding CD. Lon definitely went above and beyond my expectations; the quality of the work was incredible and the six month timeline allowed us enough time to complete 14 tracks. I highly recommend Lon to produce your music. His experience is remarkable and his amazing ideas will make your project one of your best.

When I played a rough, slightly-out-of-tune demo of one of my songs for Lon, he immediately clicked into producer mode. He heard the songs potential and began envisioning how it could and should sound. Over the next month, he worked tirelessly to bring my song to life, producing a version that was beyond my expectations. Throughout the process, I was immensely impressed by Lons work ethic. He is an impassioned perfectionist; and when he believes in a project, he works day and night until the end result completely meets his standards.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I'd rather work on a project basis to meet the client's budget rather than an hourly rate. This comes from the horrid experience of recording and running oput of money before something usable was obtained.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Set very high goals. Go for it. Do It!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Berklee School of Music, The New School majoring in Composition. Conducting seminars and workshops.
