FAQs
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I'd worked for several years for a small manufacturing company. The opportunities for growth were limited and I had some experience doing catalogs, labels and forms in house for them. The owner of the company at the time recommended me to a neighboring business to help them edit some photos on the side. From there I continued to do some freelance work and eventually applied to a job with an advertising agency where I worked for close to 10 years.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
The most frequent request I get is for reformatting a logo for a specific use that was not taken in to consideration when it was originally designed. A client has a complex multi-colored logo and they need to engrave awards for a ceremony, they need a simplified version that still holds up their brand identity.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
I had a project designing a business card that was taking several months as the client was undecided on the real direction they wanted to take. They felt their current design needed updating, but were reluctant to leave it behind. I was able to create a new creative design that still kept some of the colors from the old and showcased the multiple facets of their client base.
