Introduction: I am a horticulturist at heart. I spent 10 plus years studying and working in the field before striking out on my own. My goal is to provide homeowners with beautiful gardens full of plants without the worry of maintenance. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing is based on the job and may include plant pickup and delivery, drive mileage and time, fertilizer, weed preventer, and other miscellaneous garden services. The hourly rate is $50 an hour and mileage is calculated at $0.625 per mile, roundtrip.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
An rough estimate is the first necessary step. Photos help immensely with this process. I often can formulate a plan with just them. Be prepared to state what you want and how so my work will align with your vision. A schedule can then be formulated. Next, the work will begin. Finally, you can enjoy your garden without worrying too much about maintenance.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I trained as a horticulturist in 3 different schools. Western Montgomery County Technical School - Environmental Design Longwood Gardens - Professional Gardener Program Temple University - Bachelors of Science - Horticulture
