- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing for an event varies greatly depending on the customer's requests. In catering, there are simple and more complicated recipes to prepare. The product and the amount of time involved in preparing the food affects cost. Also to be considered are the following: paper and plastic vs. china, silverware and glassware. Linens. Table and chair rentals. Cost for labor: servers, bartenders and cooks.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
For the most part I cater events for parties of 8-150 people attending. My food specialty is Italian and Mediterranean. For smaller events I will do plated meals. For larger parties, buffets with beautifully scaped tables are offered. The client's theme and "mood" is a major part of the pre-event discussion and that is carried out in the presentation of the event. I also provide kitchen assistant services. If you enjoy food preparation or purchase prepared foods elsewhere but want someone else to prepare and plate foods, tend to the kitchen, food and clean up, I can help while you enjoy your guests.
