When interviewing a wedding or event planner make sure you really click with them, especially when planning a milestone event. Your event should reflect you, not your planner. Don't hesitate to ask questions such as how long they have been in the business and about past experiences. What would they do if something went wrong. Not every planner is a professional. It's also not a bad idea to goggle them to find out as much as you can about their work experience, etc.
