Introduction: Hi! My name is Dave. If you are looking for a math, chemistry, or SAT tutor, I would be happy to help you! Math and chemistry have always been my strongest subjects in school. I was a member of competitive math teams growing up. I received high marks in all my math and chemistry courses at Ursinus College, and I worked in several chemistry labs around the world. I received a perfect 800 SAT score on the math section, so math and chemistry come second nature to me. I also received a 700 on the verbal section and have experience tutoring it, so I can help you with that too. As for my experience, I have tutored for over five years. I tutored math and chemistry all throughout college. I worked at Huntington Learning Center for a year, where I tutored the SAT math section. I also traveled to South Korea for six months to tutor the SAT math and writing sections and the SAT II chemistry and history tests. After that, I have been freelancing, and that eventually brought me to Thumbtack. All of my students drastically improved their scores and grades, and I'd be happy to help you improve yours. Each student learns in his or her own unique way. The tutor must be able to adapt to this and to the student's personality. I am, in general, an empathetic and patient person, so I can quickly adapt and figure out fun ways to help you learn quickly and effectively. My availability is flexible.
