We found 30 West Entertainment on our recommended vendor list provided by our venue. They were the fastest and friendliest to respond (and quite reasonably priced too), so we scheduled a meeting right away. Our wedding DJ was Tim Mercandetti, one of the owners of 30 West Entertainment. I cannot say enough good things about Tim! He was the person we met with during each of the planning meetings (we had 2), so it was great to get to know him personally before the big day.
So, let me admit that I was the most disorganized mess about our music and waited until the last minute (like, 4 days before our wedding!) to provide him with choices for our first dance, father/daughter & mother/son dances, etc. I have no idea how, but Tim turned my mess into a wedding music masterpiece! His choices were creative and truly SPOT ON, given only about 30 of our favorite songs/bands as suggestions. I can't even count the number of people who came up to me and told me it was the best music they'd ever heard at a wedding. And then there was the fact that DJ Tim turned our AFTERNOON wedding into an awesome dance party. It was amazing. He had everyone, including my grandmothers, out on the floor dancing thanks to his fun (yet appropriate) personality and his amazing song choices. Epic!
Bottom line, HIRE this guy. He was such a hit with our guests and made us feel at ease even despite giving him very little to work with. We couldn't have asked for better!
