About
Sarah Cope studied privately for 5 years under the instruction of Dale Moore (Senior Professor of Voice at Eastman School of Music in Rochester, NY). She has traveled all over the United States and Canada singing patriotic, contemporary and traditional Christian music, and she currently has 3 CDs for sale. Sarah is known for not only the strength and power in her voice, but also her ability to "feel" a song and communicate it to her listeners. She has taught music to K-6th grade children as well as directed a singing group consisting of 8 teenagers who traveled the country. She loves children and has the ability to lovingly bring out the best in each individual. Sarah is now offering private voice lessons to the Lancaster County area! She will help mold and strengthen your voice through a series of time-tested methods that are sure to make a difference after only a few sessions! You will find yourself singing with more strength, power and accuracy, all while having fun. Sarah is not a "ho-hum", laid-back teacher. She will keep you on your toes and give you a workout (with a smile) each week. She will push you to your limits in order to make you the best singer you can be!

Sarah's voice lessons are professional, fun, and encouraging. My daughter loves working with her and has very quickly learned how to better articulate while singing and is learning how to properly use her diaphragm and project her voice. Sarah's voice lessons have also been a perfect accompaniment to my daughter's speech therapy...and she enjoys the fun songs and encouraging words.

My daughter has only been to 3 lessons, but already she is very happy with Sarah as her teacher. She feels very comfortable around her and she has learned so much in such a short time. I would recommend Sarah to anyone!

Sarah is a natural born teacher. She is knowledgable and encouraging but also firm. I've already made progress in my pitch and projection in the three weeks I have been taking lessons. I would highly recommend her to anyone seeking voice lessons.

Sarah is wonderful with my son. Encouraging, but still does not let the minor details slip by. I would definitely recommend her..and do!!

My family has been taking lessons with Sarah for a few months. I have been very pleased with her knowledge and with the improvement I have seen in my children.

FAQs

  • What types of customers have you worked with?

I teach voice primarily to ages 8-21, but I do have adult students as well. I will focus on diction, accuracy and strength. All the lessons are recorded and sent to you by email. This will give you a tool for practicing on your own and charting your improvement. We will have a good time, but prepare to work hard!

  • What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?

I am not a teacher who will see you week after week and never push you to improve. I believe that if an individual is lovingly, yet firmly pushed to their limits every week they will improve. After only a few weeks, I guarantee you will see improvement if you work hard and do your best.
