FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Unlike some of the larger studios, when you come to me, you never have to worry about being lured in by promises of a free or discounted first lesson, only to find yourself subjected to high-pressure "upsell" tactics designed to get you sign expensive long-term contracts. With me, there are no contracts to sign.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I start by visiting with my student, and exploring their needs and wants, their current level of proficiency, and their interests. My approach from there is individually tailored. In terms of wedding dances, I tell couples that I am on their wedding dance committee, and their input is welcome. I allow couples to be part of the choreography.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a certified teacher of the Imperial Society of Dance Teacher in London and the USA. Many of my students went on to become dance instructors themselves. I taught for many years for Arthur Murray's Schools of Dance, and received many awards. I have a Licentiate Degree in the Viennese Waltz, and have lectured on the subject, as well as organized Viennese Balls. I teach all the major dances, including Foxtrot, Waltz, Tango, Swing, Cha-Cha, Rumba, etc.
