FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I think I've mastered the cleaning end of my business. I watch a lot of cooking shows. Search a lot of recipes, and when i go to a restaurant and get something I enjoy. I can usually go home and duplicate it, depending on the ethnicity of it.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
The cooking part . I spent 2 years in a cook/chef and restaurant program years ago. I got straight A's. As a little girl when I was old enough to read, the only books I got from the book Mobil were cookbooks. I worked in many restaurants, and ran a deli once. I really enjoyed the banquet industry. I started cleaning years 23 years ago when my son was born for something to do. I only wanted it for something to do. I ended up with an extremely long list of prestigious clients 2=3 houses a day 5-6 days a week. I cleaned by day and did their dinner parties by night. For 15 years I ended up working full time for a family of 10 and a 25,000 sq. ft. house. I did all of thw work (washing, cleaning , ironing, shopping, pet appt, orthodonist appts,. homework, after school sports, packing and un packing for vacations, ironing ect...There were days I put on 14 miles (on my body) . The average was 8. MY doctor told me if I continued at that pace I would be dead in a year. I listened. When I left 4 people were hired in my place, and that was after the 6 kids had gone away.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I personalize to my clients needs. If its a dinner party I will work with you. If its something I do not feel comfortable making or not familiar with.I would experiment first and if it wasn't up to par (my par is a lot higher than most, you don't want to go to a restaurant with me I would recommend a place, I do the same when I clean. I like to leave my impression on a place. I want my clients to be as satisfied and I am gratified by the end product
