FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I base everything off of an hourly rate and try to convert this to a fixed fee when possible to help reduce the clients risk of a large unexpected bill. Tax preparation starts at $200 for a simple return and that includes federal and state returns. Local is included in most situations as well. Monthly bookkeeping I typically charge a monthly rate to allow the client to not have to worry about how often and long we talk. I am more concerned with my clients success than making a few extra dollars.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to have a phone call, in person meeting, or video conference to discuss the clients needs and let them know what they can expect from me while we work together as well as what I will need from them to complete the work.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a bachelors in business from Penn State, a bachelors in accounting from Pitt, and an MBA from Carnegie Mellon. Also, I worked for PriceWaterhouseCoopers in both tax and auditing, Consol Energy in accounting, and I have my CPA license in the state of Pennsylvania.
