FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I am reasonable with my pricing considering the quality of work that comes from my efforts, and I am always willing to work with you to keep your cost down, but at the end of the day, for me, the integrity of the job always comes first and is what matters most. I try to be as transparent as I can with my rates, hence the reason for outlining them entirely in my About Me section of my Thumbtack Profile Page AND I try to reiterate these rates either verbally or via text at least once, whenever doing so makes sense. By doing this I hope to make my customer consistently aware of the amount they're spending, and what they're spending it on every leg of the project, that way there's no surprises!
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Introducing myself > Confirming the work needed > Scheduling an ideal time or time frame > Securing any materials > Performing the tasks required. All while keeping you, the customer, involved in my process. Simple, fast, efficient. And I work with my customers with a team mentality in mind right from the jump--Starting with their opinions on how they'd like a job to look when it's finished, and then including them on what I'm currently doing or will soon be doing, in relation to the progress of the job.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My bachelor's degree unfortunately does not relate anywhere remotely to this type of work, but that doesn't mean I don't have experience or know how relating to it. In addition to my professional/work experience with home remodeling and property maintenance, I've been a tinkerer and overall curious and creative child from as long as I can remember onward. I have an insatiable thirst for more knowledge in various creative endeavors and outlets and I am constantly teaching myself new skills and refining the ones I have already learned. The internet is a treasure trove of incredibly useful information! You can learn anything you desire if you just work at it and invest the time. Also, just doing it--hands on for me is truly the best way to learn anything.
