Shane is the type of person who can literally do it all for repairs, assembly, and maintenance around your home. I had Shane assemble furniture which a former tenant had stored in my basement. He reassembled the furniture for me and even let me know the pieces that were missing. He patched holes in my walls and analyzed a damaged door from a prior tenant and told me how to handle the repair. Shane told me that his rate was $40 an hour which it was. There was a service charge of $30.00 which was not mentioned in any of our texts. I feel that it is unprofessional to not mention a service charge when quoting rates. It should have been stated: there is a $30 service charge with rates being $40 per hour. Everyone wants transparency with charges and it’s good ethical business practice to let the customer know all charges ahead of time. Aside from that, the work was done professionally and I was very pleased that Shane was able to fit me in his schedule in short notice. He assessed the situation, problem solved, assembled the furniture, and let me know which pieces were needed. Due to his knowledge, I was able to order the missing pieces on EBay in his presence, knowing that I was ordering exactly what I needed. Thank you, Shane.

Thanks for the great review! It was a pleasure working with you and talking with you. Everyone in the trade charges a Service Charge. Thumbtack Charges the trades for leads. They charge anywhere from $30.00- $3.00 for a lead. If you hire a PRO he/she will be licensed and Insured as I am. You have to charge a Service Charge or you won't be in business very long. I base my rates and fees off the task I'm performing. Most Electricians or Plumbers Charge $300.00 to even show up. I thought $130.00 was a good price for 2.75 hours of work. I also only charged you for 2.5 hours. Most guys/gals in the trade round up to the next full hour. I really did appreciate the review and talking with you. You are very kind and very honest. Thanks again!
