Introduction: During this time of uncertainty , I am offering a free introduction lesson on line . I feel that having a practical way to make a decision on who you choose as a teacher , fits your needs as a student . I currently teach privately as well as being a part of the teaching staff at Russo music in Hamilton township N.J . Please look up my credentials and check on one of the best music stores on the east coast est. 1960 . I have 27years of teaching experience . I know what needs to be taught for varied levels and students ability. Teaching in institutions for music gives you the ability to make an immediate assessment of a students needs. You are required to be concise in order to retain students . I know it has made me a better teacher , than if I just taught privately .

I've been taking lessons from Mike for 2 1/2 years now. You can't beat having someone coming to your house for lessons. He's very affordable and generous with his time to make sure you understand what you just went over in your lesson.in the past few months a friend has joined my lesson every other week which I've found to be very helpful.This works well for us. My son also take lessons from Mike. In my opinion Mike's a wise choice.

Mike is an awesome guitar teacher. He'll give you a hard time if you don't put in the work you should be, but I learned a lot about guitar playing as well as music and theory in my time with him. He also does a fantastic job of tying what he teaches into different styles of music and guitar playing to better fit your interests. As a bonus, Mike is a funny guy, he's entertaining, keeps each lesson moving, and he makes sure you get your money's worth each week. 10/10 would recommend to anyone who either has never played before or has been playing for years and just wants to get better/learn something new!

I have been working with Mike for 2 and a half years. He is very thorough in his teachings. Always goes at a pace that I am comfortable with, to make sure I understand everything that he is explaining. Mixes in both theory and does a good job of relating it to a song that ties both together. Not only do we get alot accomplished during our lessons, but he always writes everything out on paper so I have it to work on during the week. Super cool guy. Highly recommended

I've been taking lessons with Mike for over 2 years and have thoroughly enjoyed the process, and my improved playing. Mike has tailored his instruction to my skill level and knowledge of music and provides specific documents from the lessons as a record of progress and for further practice. And, what could be more comfortable and convenient than lessons in your own home.

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I think I covered that info in the previous questions my system is easy and fare . My only stipulation is that I expect a 24 hr notice unless there is a real emergency for the student .if not a student can make up a lesson . Chronic abcsentise is not tolerated .
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I take master classes in jazz. Through teaching and playing out am always learning .
How did you get started doing this type of work?
I have played and studied music since I was 10 .I Feel like teaching was a natural extension of learning an instrument. I feel braking points of concern down ; it was my only way of being a better student and specifically knowing what was the next important thing to learn . I have lived what I ask of my students . so, I feel teaching comes naturally to me. I think if you continue to learn yourself you can always be able to understand students.also ,performing helps keep your teaching fresh and exciting .
