What are singing lessons like?

Every voice coach may have a different style of teaching, but here are a few things you'll likely experience during a singing lesson:

This was my first ever vocal lesson and I am so happy I chose Arabella. I wanted someone who found the deeper meaning of music and really understood the purpose of our gifts. In my experience I was really able to understand my voice a little more and I learned how to relieve the strain. We focused on agility and breathing which I am now comfortable with. I know overtime my voice will be so much more mature. I really appreciate how much I learned in my first lesson.

Katie is a skilled voice and piano teacher. It has been difficult for me to find a voice teacher who actually plays the piano...thank goodness I found Katie! I have been singing for years and I needed a strong vocal coach to help prepare me for an audition that required me to learn a challenging song. With Katie’s patience and enthusiasm she helped me learn a piece I was totally lost on. I’ll definitely go back to Katie for future lessons!

I've been working with Tanya on a bi-weekly basis for several months, and even though I've had less than 10 lessons, I can already so big improvements in my voice. I've been a musician for many years, but never had any formal vocal training, which means I came in with a lot of bad habits that Tanya has been helping me identify and change. I also love how the lessons don't only focus on exercises, but also allow time to work on songs as well, making it easy to take what you're learning and apply it to a more practical situation. Would definitely recommend!
