Introduction: Scott is a professional musician based in Amesbury, MA. When he's not on the road performing with his band ILL Doots he spends his time producing records out of his home studio and teaching! Scott has been producing music for 10+ years, first diving into sampling emulating the production styles of J Dilla, Pete Rock and DJ Premier, and over the years gravitating towards creating other sounds such as Sly and the Family Stone, and Prince. Scott has produced records for ILL DOOTS, A.Rob, Alita Moses, Jay Adim, Prof. Dex, Xap, King Lajie, Aliah Sheffield, VNIX, and more. Scott has been teaching guitar and bass for over 8 years. He is a graduate from the University of the Arts Jazz Studies program. He's played and taught it all, from classical to hiphop, rock, reggae and everything in between. Super fun time working with Scott as a producer. He's definitely talented and learns more and more everyday, which is important for a producer, and an artist. I came to him with ideas and we both talked it out and began creating music for my new EP. It was an awesome experience! If you were considering taking lessons from him, I'd say 100% yes to that!

I called Scott to book a session a few weeks ago , he is amazing to work with he's open to new ideas. He is outstanding with mixing and mastering the one thing i like best about scott is , he will work with you until the song is the way you want it to be.

FAQs

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Production: -For recording in the studio I charge $35/hour. -For original production I either charge the hourly studio rate or can negotiate a flat rate depending on what is needed for the project. -For an EP or Album length project a discounted rate can be negotiated based on the scope of the project. Teaching: -For a 1 hour guitar or bass lesson I charge $50 ($60 if I travel to you)
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a bachelors degree in Jazz Bass performance from the University of the Arts, but more importantly touring and studio experience which has been far more influential in my development as a musician.
What types of customers have you worked with?
People of all ages and musical backgrounds, I've done everything from podcasts and voice over recording to rap, rock, R&B, nursery rhymes and everything in between.
