Introduction: WORKING WITH CLIENTS We work closely with our clients to understand their needs and objectives in order to create final designs that match their design goals. Each client and project is unique, and developing the right solution requires careful attention to detail and a thorough understanding of the client and their aspirations. I love the fact that each project is unique and brings on its own set of challenges and rewards. I am continuously searching out the latest trends and products to not only continue to educate myself but bring something new to each project. Working with all kinds of clients keeps me engaged from a professional and personal level. I enjoy listening, talking, and sharing ideas and experiences with people. Above all, I find my work as an interior designer exceptionally rewarding because it allows me to enhance the quality of others' lives through design.

Glenna Stone provided design and consulting services, which included the design of a master bathroom renovation, and consulting services for decorating several rooms in our home. Her design work for the bathroom was beautiful and we could not be happier with the completed work. Whether providing guidance on a room renovation or consulting services for individual room decorating, Glenna's work consistently showed her skill, experience, and professionalism. Furthermore, she was incredibly patient with us and always took the time to understand our preferences and style. At the end of each job she made certain that we were completely happy with the finished product. We always were and we remain appreciative of her work every day as we enjoy our home improvements. We look forward to working with Glenna on additional projects in the future.

Glenna designed my daughter's nursery, and I absolute love how it turned out! She came up with great ideas, but always had my style and budget in mind. She made the design process smooth, and I didn't feel overwhelmed at any point. She is very detailed oriented, organized, and resourceful. It was a wonderful experience. I highly recommend her!

Glenna helped us design our master bedroom bath. She took the time to understand our goals and design theme. From that she helped us create a space that was better than we could have imagined. She helped us save time, money and costly mistakes we would have later regretted.

Glenna helped us with both a color consultation and window treatments for a very challenging area of our home. She took careful time to make sure things worked well not only within the space but also with the overall flow of the home. We are doing updates in stages and it's nice to know that our future plans will work well with the changes that have already been made. We plan on using her for some of our more comprehensive remodeling in the future as well.

FAQs

  • How did you get started doing this type of work?

Inspired by her mother, an artist and teacher, Glenna developed her sense of color and composition at a young age. She has always had a passion for combining color, materials and textures in an artful manner. Paralleling her creative side, Glenna embraced her strong technical skills and pursued a degree in engineering from Lehigh University. Upon graduation she worked for over 10 years as a consultant and project manager in the consumer products industry. While achieving much success in this previous career, she felt the need to embrace her more creative side and began taking interior design courses at the Boston Architectural College and the Rhode Island School of Design. After much consideration, Glenna decided to combine her technical and creative skills and pursue a graduate degree in interior design. Glenna graduated from Drexel University with a Masters degree in interior architecture and design. She started her design career at the renowned firm of Marguerite Rodgers, Ltd. in Philadelphia and continued on as a freelance designer before starting her own firm. During graduate school Glenna explored a concentration in sustainable design through her course work and graduate thesis. This eye opening segment of her education formed her personal commitment to live more sustainably. She is currently a member of the Delaware Valley Green Building Council and a LEED Green Associate practitioner.
